“AN AFFAIR OF THE HEART” – A NEW FEATURE DOCUMENTARY ABOUT THE POWERFUL CONNECTION BETWEEN A POP IDOL & HIS DIEHARD FANS

Straight off the heels of its World Premiere in the hometown of its filmmakers (27th Annual Florida Film Festival), AN AFFAIR OF THE HEART will make its second stop on its journey at the 2012 Nashville Film Festival. Unlike most music documentaries, the film spotlights fans that aren’t just living out an everlasting celebrity crush. A very special bond flows both ways between Rick Springfield and his devotees. AN AFFAIR OF THE HEART explores the Grammy-winning musician and his fervent fan base — a multi-generational global community that feel his classic and new music provides endless joy and helps them get through life’s challenges.

“I’m proud to be a part of it,” commented Springfield. “The filmmakers went real deep, and there are some scenes that are pretty amazing … stories that I’ve never heard before. Some of these fans have been with me for 30 years, so I’m really intertwined in their lives. That’s the crux of the film.”

The filmmaking team includes Emmy® Award-winning Director/Producer Sylvia Caminer, EP/Producer and mega-fan Melanie Lentz-Janney, and Editor David Dean. The filmmakers will be attending a Q&A after each screening.
