Sidewalk Film Festival: An Affair of the Heart
The next stop on the Yellow Rick Road is a SPECIAL screening at the 14th Annual Sidewalk Film Festival in Birmingham, Alabama! The heart of this festival is about celebrating new, independent cinema projects, and this is another festival with a great reputation!
There will be only one screening held on August 25 at 5:15pm at The Venue. The Venue only seats 100 people, so you should buy your festival pass NOW. They do sell single tickets, but there is no guarantee you will get in, even with a ticket. So, your best bet is to buy a pass.
Brief Review:
This is a phenomenal film for fans and non-fans alike. With laugh-out-loud moments, heartwarming stories and an hour and a half of Springfield packed footage, it’s sure to be enjoyed by all.
Letter from the Editor-in-chief:
Throughout my journey on the Yellow Rick Road I’ve been inspired, blessed and educated. The fans are as loyal as they are supportive, and quite generous. The ladies behind it all, filmmakers Melanie Lentz-Janney (EP/Producer/Marketer) and Sylvia Caminer (Director/Producer), are fabulous! And quickly earned a special place in my heart.
It’s not everyday that you meet someone who puts others before themselves and are so willing to follow their dream no matter the cost. But this is exactly the type of person Melanie Lentz-Janney is. I truly believe that these types of people draw others to them who are very similar and I’ve witnessed this very thing in action as a result of my getting to know her. I’ve been fortunate to meet some wonderful people through an introduction and/or opportunity given me by Melanie, including the awesomely fantastic Sylvia Caminer, Dustin Walker and dad Jeff, Rowdy Ron, Kris Fluck and many, many others.
I encourage you to not only support the film, but to also contribute what you can, when you can.
This isn’t a typical news story, nor the type of post you’ll see from me very often. However, there are times when you have to remove formalities, speak from the heart and give credit, where credit is due.
