The Recording Academy® Announces The Season Debut of GRAMMY Label
Portion Of Proceeds Will Benefit GRAMMY Camp®
The Recording Academy® announces the new season debut of GRAMMY Label™, a luxury basics collection that celebrates the power of fashion and music.
Each season GRAMMY Label, by appointment of The Recording Academy, donates a new set of instruments to GRAMMY Camp®, a GRAMMY Foundation® program that brings aspiring young music students together with working professionals for extraordinary musical experiences. GRAMMY Label will be available at specialty boutiques nationwide starting in February 2013.
“Together with The Recording Academy, our vision was to develop a collection that was in line with the creative process of making music,” said GRAMMY Label Creative Director Caroline Rothwell. “This is not a promotional line. This is a style that is truly inspired by musicians.”
“With GRAMMY Label, The Academy can expand our philanthropic efforts by marrying music with fashion, and we can do so by delivering a line that encompasses all types of music for every fan universally,” said Evan Greene, Chief Marketing Officer of The Recording Academy.
For this season’s exciting debut, GRAMMY Label will feature graphic tees and tanks for men and women. From cotton blends in ultra-soft washes to hand-dyed tanks, GRAMMY Label’s loose fit and worn-in feel make them essentials for artists and fashion lovers alike. The GRAMMY Label collection will be available for purchase coinciding with the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards®, to be held Sunday, Feb. 10, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and broadcast in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
GRAMMY Label pieces are priced from $50-$120 retail and will be available at specialty boutiques nationwide as well as at www.grammylabelcollection.com.
