Charity: Water – Hurricane Sandy Update

Hurricane Sandy update.

Dear friends, thank you so much for all your tweets and emails — so many of you checked in to see if we were ok after the hurricane. Our office and about half of our staff lost power the night that Sandy hit, but thankfully no one was hurt and we’re finally all back up and running this week.

Auto Repair Shops Across the Country Join Together to Put The Brakes on Breast Cancer

Auto Repair Shops Across the Country Join Together to Put The Brakes on Breast Cancer – Goal = $30,000

Auto Craftsmen is proudly supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month by participating in the Brakes for Breast campaign fundraiser where during the month of October this independently-owned auto repair shop is joining 26 other independent auto repair shops representing 16 states across the U.S. by offering their customers FREE brake pads and also donating 10% of every brake service directly to The Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund.

The Brakes For Breasts fundraiser is different from most breast cancer fundraising campaigns which run during October because 100% of proceeds contributed by these independently-owned auto repair shops goes directly to the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund to fund research of a vaccine which will lead to a cure for breast cancer, not just treatments for the disease.

Dr. Vincent Tuohy from The Cleveland Clinic has proven that his vaccine is 100% effective in preventing breast cancer in mice. His vaccine is ready for clinical trials in humans & funding is the only thing holding it back.
