Monday Night Football was a nail biting, edge of your seat, hard hitting battle all the way down to the last second. The Carolina Panthers played one of their best games in years at home against the New England Patriots. Carolina controlled the first half of the game holding the Patriots to only 3 points while putting up 10 of their own. When both teams took the field after halftime, the knockdown drag out fight ensued.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers came in to their week 8 match-up against division rival, Carolina Panthers with high hopes of nabbing their first win. That hope was squashed in the first quarter. The Panthers came out swinging shutting down the opening drive for the Bucs. Carolina’s first possession of the game consisted of 4 3rd down conversions, a total of 15 plays and nearly a 9 minute march down the field for their first touchdown, a pass from Cam Newton to Greg Olsen in the end zone. By the end of the 1st quarter, the Panthers were up 14-3.
